Did you ever read a poem, or even hear a song, that just resonates with you? The power of poetry is that whether you read it or write it, it’s a way to express things that are hard to say. From the angry poem about your cat being antisocial to the heart-wrenching break-up poems, writing gives us the opportunity to share something and receive the response, “Oh my god, you feel that way? Me, too! I thought I was the only one.” That’s why we like it so much.
Whether you’ve written 70 poems and have had them all published or this is the first poem you’ve ever written and you don’t even know if you did it right, Poets of NEPA is ready to publish it for you. (PS – The GREAT thing about poetry is you can never do it wrong. There is no wrong way to creatively string words together to express your thoughts.)
Speaking of great poetry, NEPA has a ton of talent!
My name is Monica and the Times-Tribune once called me a poet. It felt so creative and weird and fun.
After attending a good amount of open mics, I’ve realized there are some amazing writers in our area. I’ve gotten “the chills” more times than I can count while listening to diverse performers. As a result, I’ve decided to create a website where local poets can submit their work and also get inspiration from the work of others.
For submissions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or submit using our submission form. Thank you.

Please note: Poets of NEPA takes your talent very seriously. All submitted poems will be reviewed and published as we see fit. We will never share your work and submitted poetry that does not make it onto the site will be deleted within 60 days. Thank you.
